Meditation – Visualized

Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky. Conscious breathing is my anchor.

Thich Nhat Hanh

Undisturbed calmness of mind is attained by cultivating friendliness toward the happy, compassion for the unhappy, delight in the virtuous, and indifference toward the wicked.

Patañjali

Meditation is the dissolution of thoughts in Eternal awareness or Pure consciousness without objectification, knowing without thinking, merging finitude in infinity.

Voltaire

The Way to do is to be.

Lao Tzu

Though I am often in the depths of misery, there is still calmness, pure harmony and music inside me. I see paintings or drawings in the poorest cottages, in the dirtiest corners. And my mind is driven towards these things with an irresistible momentum.

Vincent van Gogh

It is more than probable that I am not understood; but I fear, indeed, that it is in no manner possible to convey to the mind of the merely general reader, an adequate idea of that nervous intensity of interest with which, in my case, the powers of meditation (not to speak technically) busied and buried themselves, in the contemplation of even the most ordinary objects of the universe.

Edgar Allan Poe

If the mind falls asleep, awaken it. Then if it starts wandering, make it quiet. If you reach the state where there is neither sleep nor movement of mind, stay still in that, the natural (real) state.

Ramana Maharshi

Meditation is a microcosm, a model, a mirror. The skills we practice when we sit are transferable to the rest of our lives.

Welcome to Sun (Poetry) – Dushyant Kumar

In the courtyard there is moss, the
walls are smooth, black , not covered with
sunlight,
O brother sun! What should I do?
This is my fortune! You went away after

seeing the window open
,
but I was addicted to darkness,
indolent … disappointing …
your arrival was lost, trust.

But you have come – welcome!
Welcome! … on these black walls of the house!
and where?
Yes, my child had
given a screw here only in the game game.
Come here – sit here,
and forgive me for my blasphemy.
Look! My child is
learning to welcome you.
